Toulon, February 27th, 2019 - Cartesiam joins the STMicroelectronics Partner Program to offer unprecedented self AI learning capabilities to the STM32 microcontrollers family.
Today, as part of the EmbeddedWorld 2019 fair where Cartesiam is hosted on the STMicroelectronics booth, Cartesiam is delighted to announce that it has joined the STMicroelectronics Partner Program thereby making its NanoEdge™ AI framework available to more developers around the world.
Cartesiam patented technology NanoEdge AI is a library using artificial intelligence to create data models based on signals acquired by sensors such as motion and vibration sensors, environmental sensors, microphones and image sensors directly inside microcontroller and allows detection based on embedded and autonomously created knowledge.
NanoEdge AI runs autonomously in any STM32 microcontroller both for the learning phase and for the analysis. This brings the full power of Machine Learning right where the data are created without any needs of pre-trained neural network models generated in the cloud with deep learning frameworks.
The edge refers to computing infrastructure that exists close to the sources of data. NanoEdge AI runs exactly where the data are created and defines Edge’s new frontier. With NanoEdge AI, product designers can now easily integrate local AI training and analysis capabilities into their C code, optimized for STM32 microcontrollers.

About ST Partner Program:
STMicroelectronics, a global semiconductor leader serving customers across the spectrum of electronics applications created the ST Partner Program to speed customer development efforts by identifying and highlighting to them companies with complementary products and services. Moreover, the program’s certification process assures that all partners are vetted for quality and competence.
Founded in 2016, Cartesiam, based in France (Toulon/Paris) and USA (NY), is a software company with a vast background in mathematics, AI and signal processing and specialized in artificial intelligence embedded into microcontrollers.
Cartesiam takes up the challenge to develop Artificial Intelligence specifically for small footprint processors such as microcontrollers. Its patented technology, NanoEdge AI is already integrated within solutions installed at customers of all sizes, including EDF, Veolia, French Army, Airbus, Schneider electric, Renault, Thales, Bouygues and for diverse use cases such as power plant engine control, water sanitization factories, bottling factories, railway control and various Industry 4.0 solutions.
